Kit Cooper, founder, executive director
Kit Cooper is the executive director of the Quality of Life Project. He is also a partner at Signal Partners, an executive search firm serving lower middle market private equity-backed companies. Prior to his career in executive search, Kit ran and sold two BPO companies. Granada Corp was a leading work-from-home customer support business and Hispanic Teleservices Corp (HTC) was the industry’s first Latin America-based contact center focused on providing bilingual support to US companies . HTC was based in Monterrey, Mexico and was backed by both JPMorgan Partners and CVC. Kit helped HTC grow to over 3,000 employees and position the company for a sale to The Carlyle Group. In recognition of his team’s accomplishments, Kit received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Business Services.
Kit also started the CEOExperienceSeries.com, where he interviews accomplished organization leaders who share their battle-hardened perspectives and lessons learned with other company builders.
He is passionate about human capital and building companies and has spoken on these topics for YPO, SXSW and as a guest lecturer for MBA programs at UCLA, USC, Pepperdine and Rice University. Kit holds a BA in History from UCLA and an MBA from Georgetown University.
